(1)安全带装置的附件硬件在经受S5.2(a)规定的条件后,除了地板下加强板和垫圈外围边缘或孔边缘允许亚铁腐蚀之外,安全带装置硬件的重要表面应该是无铁辅食的。



S4.3 Requirementsfor hardware.硬件要求

(a)      Corrosion resistance. (1) Attachment hardware of a seat beltassembly after being subjected to the conditionsspecified in S5.2(a) shall be free of ferrous corrosion on significant surfacesexcept for permissible ferrous corrosion at peripheral edges or edges of holeson underfloor reinforcing plates and washers. Alternatively, such hardware ator near the floor shall be protected against corrosion by at least anelectrodeposited coating of nickel, or copper and nickel with at least aservice condition number of SC2, and other attachment hardware shall beprotected by an electrodeposited coating of nickel, or copper and nickel with aservice condition number of SC1, in accordance with ASTM B456-79 (incorporatedby reference, see §571.5), but such hardware shall not be racked forelectroplating in locations subjected to maximum stress.

(2) Surfaces of buckles, retractors and metallic parts,other than attachment hardware, of a seat belt assembly after subjection to theconditions specified in S5.2(a) shall be free of ferrous or nonferrouscorrosion which may be transferred, either directly or by means of the webbing,to the occupant or his clothing when the assembly is worn. After test, bucklesshall conform to applicable requirements in paragraphs (d) to (g) of thissection.

(b) Temperatureresistance. Plastic or other nonmetallic hardware parts of a seat beltassembly when subjected to the conditions specified in S5.2(b) shall not warpor otherwise deteriorate to cause the assembly to operate improperly or fail tocomply with applicable requirements in this section and S4.4.

(c) Attachmenthardware. (1) Eye bolts, shoulder bolts, or other bolt used to securethe pelvic restraint of seat belt assembly to a motor vehicle shall withstand aforce of 40,034 N when tested by the procedure specified in S5.2(c)(1), exceptthat attachment bolts of a seat belt assembly designed for installation inspecific models of motor vehicles in which the ends of two or more seat beltassemblies cannot be attached to the vehicle by a single bolt shall havebreaking strength of not less than 22,241 N.

(2) Other attachment hardware designed to receive the endsof two seat belt assemblies shall withstand a tensile force of at least 26,689N without fracture of a section when tested by the procedure specified inS5.2(c)(2).

(3) A seat belt assembly having single attachment hooksof the quick-disconnect type for connecting webbing to an eye bolt shall beprovided with a retaining latch or keeper which shall not move more than 2 mmin either the vertical or horizontal direction when tested by the procedurespecified in S5.2(c)(3).

(d) Bucklerelease. (1) The buckle of a Type 1 or Type 2 seat belt assembly shallrelease when a force of not more than 133 N is applied.

(2) A buckle designed for pushbutton application ofbuckle release force shall have a minimum area of 452 mm2 witha minimum linear dimension of 10 mm for applying the release force, or a buckledesigned for lever application of buckle release force shall permit theinsertion of a cylinder 10 mm in diameter and 38 mm in length to at least themidpoint of the cylinder along the cylinder's entire length in the actuationportion of the buckle release. A buckle having other design for release shallhave adequate access for two or more fingers to actuate release.

(3) The buckle of a Type 1 or Type 2 seat belt assemblyshall not release under a compressive force of 1779 N applied as prescribed inparagraph S5.2(d)(3). The buckle shall be operable and shall meet theapplicable requirement of paragraph S4.4 after the compressive force has beenremoved.

31型或2型安全带装置的带扣不得在S5.2d)(3)款规定的施加的1779 N的压力下释放。在去除压缩力后,带扣应可操作并应符合S4.4的适用要求。

(e) Adjustmentforce. The force required to decrease the size of a seat belt assemblyshall not exceed 49 N when measured by the procedure specified in S5.2(e).

(f) Tilt-lockadjustment. The buckle of a seat belt assembly having tilt-lockadjustment shall lock the webbing when tested by the procedure specified inS5.2(f) at an angle of not less than 30 degrees between the base of the buckleand the anchor webbing.

(g) Bucklelatch. The buckle latch of a seat belt assembly when tested by theprocedure specified in S5.2(g) shall not fail, nor gall or wear to an extentthat normal latching and unlatching is impaired, and a metal-to-metal buckleshall separate when in any position of partial engagement by a force of notmore than 22 N.

(h) Nonlockingretractor. The webbing of a seat belt assembly shall extend from anonlocking retractor within 6 mm of maximum length when a tension is applied asprescribed in S5.2(h). A nonlocking retractor on upper torso restraint shall beattached to the nonadjustable end of the assembly, the reel of the retractorshall be easily visible to an occupant while wearing the assembly, and the maximumretraction force shall not exceed 5 N in any strap or webbing that contacts theshoulder when measured by the procedure specified in S5.2(h), unless theretractor is attached to the free end of webbing which is not subjected to anytension during restraint of an occupant by the assembly.

(i)       Automatic-locking retractor. The webbing of a seat beltassembly equipped with an automatic locking retractor, when tested by theprocedure specified in S5.2(i), shall not move more than 25 mm between lockingpositions of the retractor, and shall be retracted with a force under zeroacceleration of not less than 3 N when attached to pelvic restraint, and notless that 2 N nor more than 5 N in any strap or webbing that contacts theshoulders of an occupant when the retractor is attached to upper torso restraint.An automatic locking retractor attached to upper torso restraint shall notincrease the restraint on the occupant of the seat belt assembly during use ina vehicle traveling over rough roads as prescribed in S5.2(i).

(j) Emergency-lockingretractor.紧急锁定回卷器。

(1) For seatbelt assemblies manufactured before February 22, 2007. Except formanufacturers that, at the manufacturer's option, voluntarily choose to complywith S4.3(j)(2) during this period (with said option irrevocably selected priorto, or at the time of, certification of the seat belt assembly), anemergency-locking retractor of a Type 1 or Type 2 seat belt assembly, whentested in accordance with the procedures specified in paragraph S5.2(j)(1)—

适用于2007222日之前制造的安全带组件。除了在此期间自愿选择遵守S4.3j)(2)的制造商(在认证安全带组件之前或之时不可撤销地选择了该选项),根据第S5.2j)(1)段规定的程序进行测试的1型或2型安全带组件的紧急锁定回卷

(i) Shall lock before the webbing extends 25 mm when theretractor is subjected to an acceleration of 7 m/s2(0.7 g);

(ii) Shall not lock, if the retractor is sensitive to webbingwithdrawal, before the webbing extends 51 mm when the retractor is subjected toan acceleration of 3 m/s2 (0.3 g) or less;

(iii) Shall not lock, if the retractor is sensitive to vehicleacceleration, when the retractor is rotated in any direction to any angle of15° or less from its orientation in the vehicle;

(iv) Shall exert a retractive force of at least 3 N under zeroacceleration when attached only to the pelvic restraint;

(v) Shall exert a retractive force of not less than 1 N and notmore than 5 N under zero acceleration when attached only to an upper torso restraint;

(vi) Shall exert a retractive force not less than 1 N and not morethan 7 N under zero acceleration when attached to a strap or webbing thatrestrains both the upper torso and the pelvis.

(2)     For seat belt assemblies manufactured on or after February 22, 2007 andfor manufacturers opting for early compliance. An emergency-lockingretractor of a Type 1 or Type 2 seat belt assembly, when tested in accordancewith the procedures specified in paragraph S5.2(j)(2)—

(i) Shall under zero acceleration loading—

须在零加速度负荷下

(A) Exert a retractive force of not less than 1 N and not morethan 7 N when attached to a strap or webbing that restrains both the uppertorso and the pelvis;

当安装在保护上身和骨盆的带或织带上时,应施加不小于1 N且不大于7 N的收缩力;

(B) Exert a retractive force not less than 3 N when attached onlyto the pelvic restraint; and

仅附着在骨盆保护装置上时应施加不小于3 N的收缩力;和

(C) Exert a retractive force of not less than 1 N and not morethan 5 N when attached only to an upper torso restraint.

仅安装在上躯干保护装置上时,应施加不小于1 N且不大于5 N的收缩力。

(D) For a retractor sensitive to vehicle acceleration, lock whentilted at any angle greater than 45 degrees from the angle at which it isinstalled in the vehicle or meet the requirements of S4.3(j)(2)(ii).

对于对车辆加速度敏感的回卷器,当其倾斜角度大于与安装在车辆中的角度大于45度或符合S4.3j)(2)(ii)的要求时,应锁定。

(E) For a retractor sensitive to vehicle acceleration, not lockwhen the retractor is rotated in any direction to any angle of 15 degrees orless from its orientation in the vehicle.

对于对车辆加速度敏感的回卷器,当回卷器沿任何方向旋转至与其在车辆中的方向成15度或更小的角度时,请不要锁定。

(ii) Shall lock before the webbing payout exceeds the maximumlimit of 25 mm when the retractor is subjected to an acceleration of 0.7 gunder the applicable test conditions of S5.2(j)(2)(iii)(A) or (B). Theretractor is determined to be locked when the webbing belt load tension is atleast 35 N.

在适用的S5.2j)(2)(iii)(A)或(B)的适用测试条件下,当回卷器承受0.7 g的加速度时,在织带支出超过最大限制25 mm之前应锁定当安全带的负载张力至少为35 N时,确定回卷器已锁定。

(iii) For a retractor sensitive to webbing withdrawal, shall notlock before the webbing payout extends to the minimum limit of 51 mm when theretractor is subjected to an acceleration no greater than 0.3 g under the testcondition of S5.2(j)(2)(iii)(C).

对于对织带退出敏感的回卷器,在S5.2j)(2)(iii)(C)的试验条件下,当回卷器承受的加速度不大于0.3 g时,在织带支出延伸至最小极限51 mm之前,不得锁定

(k) Performanceof retractor. A retractor used on a seat belt assembly aftersubjection to the tests specified in S5.2(k) shall comply with applicable requirementsin paragraphs (h) to (j) of this section and S4.4, except that the retractionforce shall be not less than 50 percent of its original retraction force.

回卷器的性能。在经过S5.2k)规定的测试后,用于安全带组件的回卷器应符合本节(h)至(j)和S4.4的适用要求,但卷收力应为不小于其原始回缩力的50%。
